Fisherman's House
If your sailing plans have been completely ruined due to the weather, at Fiskeriets Hus you can still have the experience of being at sea and gain an insight into the life and profession of a fisherman through time.
At the museum you can test your skills as a skipper on a fishing boat SG 92 in the Baltic Sea in their authentic simulator. You can sail both day and night under challenging conditions in all kinds of weather on the lake and in an environment that simulates Bagenkop Harbor. As a skipper it is of course your responsibility to not cause damage to the boat or any of the other vessels with which you share the sea.
If you need solid ground under your feet, you can learn more about how people and technology have developed the profession into what we know it as today in the exhibition "Fishing". For example, see what an old-fashioned fisherman's home looked like and what tools you could find in the workshops that supported the profession. All remarkable effects that testify to the fishermen's extensive working conditions.
