The Medicine Gardens
They say that “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”, but if this is not enough for you, you can visit Northern Europe's largest collection of medicinal plants.
The large medicinal botanical park consists of approximately 650 different plants, all of which have been attributed medicinal significance.
There are 6 different garden themes:
- Breathing and circulation
- Urinary and genital tract
- Digestion, metabolism, and nutrition
- Infections and Hildegard's garden
- Nervous system and musculoskeletal system
- The garden of the 5 senses
In the children's medicine garden, the little ones can look with their fingers, and taste and smell the plants. In addition, there is a small play stream, a sandbox, a willow hut with seating, a dining area, a robinia pergola, and a blackcurrant maze. Also find the colorful owls, cork bees, the viper and the snake around the gardens with signs and tasks that children can solve together with adults.
