Knuthenborg is Northern Europe's largest safari park, and here you can get up close to everything from donkeys to the world's largest dinosaur.
The park is home to 1.000 wild animals roaming freely in large areas divided according to the continent they originally came from. You can visit the following areas: Maglemermarken, Savannah, Wolf Forest, Deer Park, Today at Dinosaur Forest, Elephant Plain, Monkey Forest, Tiger Forest, Forest Knights Plain, and Bandholmmarken.
You can also join the journey in their natural history museum, where you can experience Europe's most complete exhibition of Permian animals (the first animals adapted to life on land) and the exhibition of "Big Joe" - the world's best preserved skeleton of the killer dinosaur, Allosaurus. If you want to see more than just skeletons, you can visit the Dinosaur Forest, where the giants of the past are brought to life. Here you can even carve fossils out of 60 million year old limestone blocks from Faxe Kalkbrud, and if your holiday money is burning in your pocket, you can buy everything from your favorite plush dinosaur to real dinosaur fossils in the shop "Pangea".
For playful souls, Limpopoland is a must. In the huge amusement paradise, all activities are free, and if you have the courage, you can, for example, try Kampala Expressen or Europe's steepest water slide, Congo Splash. Also explore Denmark's largest natural playground, where you can get your body moving on bouncy castles, rafts, climbing towers, zip lines, suspension bridges and much more. If you need to cool down afterwards, you can visit the water playground or Sahara, where there is space for water dogs of all sizes to play with water and sand.
When you need to satisfy your hunger, you can visit Flintehuset or Mombasa, both of which focus on sustainability with organic and local ingredients. Around the park you will also find kiosks and cafés with refreshments.
