Egeskov an experience for the whole family
Egeskov is one of Denmark's most well-preserved Renaissance castles, which today forms a historical setting for special exhibitions and an award-winning castle garden.
A visit to Egeskov is like a journey back in time as you walk through the many historical exhibitions with unique collections of aircraft, vintage cars, guard stations and much more. The castle is open to guests during the day, where you can get a unique insight into 467 years of history, as well as how such a building functions as both a private home and an exhibition.
Outside, you can visit one of the most spectacular gardens in the world, home to hundreds of trees and plants. With the USEEUM app on your mobile, you can even take a digital tour with the palace gardener, Peter Bonde Poulsen.
Outside you will also find the Play Forest, the large labyrinth, the mooncar, cable cars, and Tree Top Walking at a height of 10-15 meters. The brave can also visit Count Dracula in his crypt or help Professor Bloom stop a thief before it's too late. This is also done in the USEEUM app, and works like a treasure hunt around the park.
When hunger strikes, you are welcome to enjoy your packed lunch in one of the many small and cozy oases, but you will also find food and refreshments in five different places around the park. Don't forget to visit the nursery and buy a piece of Egeskov.
