Below we have collected some suggestions for excursions and activities on Langeland for the whole family, but especially with a focus on children:
Treasure hunts for children
Find the map and go hunting for thugs, hat boxes, and unknown places on Langeland:
Bully hunt
Langeland once had 15 mills, 15 bullies and 15 parishes, but today only the number of bullies has survived. Can you find them all?
Bølle in this context is a suffix in Danish place names, which is related to the verb to live. The suffix denotes a settlement and often "village", and such names are usually formed in the early Middle Ages. Some of the bølleren on Langeland, however, were probably formed as far back as the Viking Age.
Download the map at VisitLangeland and tick them all.
Hat tray Conqueror
Langeland is the only place in Denmark where you can find the so-called "hat hills", which were created during the last ice age. Climb at least 2 or more of these unique geological formations and take home an extraordinary souvenir from your holiday.
VisitLangeland has selected 8 of Langeland's hat hills, all of which give different hat hill points. Once you have achieved 100 points, you can receive the special Hat Hill Conqueror! Badge at the Geopark Visitor Center – Langeland (link to bottom page) or the Cold War Museum Langelandsfortet (link to bottom page).
Download the map and see the points overview at VisitLangeland.

First, buy a treasure hunt booklet at Langeland Library (link to bottom page), Langeland Museum (link to bottom page), or Langeland Fort (link to bottom page) for 25 kr. Then visit the 7 posts and write down the correct answers in the booklet. Finally, have your answers checked at one of the sales points and receive a nice medal that you can take home as an extra memorable souvenir.
