When the Danish weather calls for indoor coziness, fortunately there are plenty of indoor attractions on Langeland and South Funen that you can engage with instead. In this blog post we have compiled an overview of indoor attractions that are fun and entertaining for the whole family.

Cinema Langeland
In Bio Langeland you can watch a wide selection of premiere films in both 2D and 3D every day of the week. In addition, there is a cultural cinema, baby cinema, and free lectures. 
Kulturbio shows a series of concerts, operas, and ballets from 12 of Europe's largest and most famous stages and with the biggest stars of the time. In babybio, children and parents of young children are naturally taken into account with dimmed lights and sound and cute babysitters. Last but not least, science lectures are shown on the big screen. These are streamed live from Aarhus University, and are educational for everyone regardless of academic background.

Bowl'n'Fun
Just because the weather is dull doesn't mean you have to put a fun and active holiday on hold. Instead, head to Bowl'n'Fun in Svendborg – a hotspot for indoor activities on South Funen, and a true mecca for children, child-like souls, and your inner competitive self.

Bowling: Get together and have a blast at the bowling alleys – a place where everyone can gather, whether you're a beginner or experienced.

Happie's Playland (indoor playland): Here, children can frolic in a huge play area filled with everything from trampolines, slides, a ball pool, a ball field, a climbing tower and a Ninja Warrior course. The play area is divided into areas adapted to different age groups, and of course this also applies to adults, who can enjoy a cup of coffee in the lounge.

Escape Room: Love brain teasers? Soak your brain and crack the room's puzzles before time runs out. Choose from Atlantis, Saw, Hunter's Lodge, Jack the Ripper and Mission Impossible – all with an authentic feel and mysterious atmosphere so thick you could cut through it.

Minigolf: Take a swing at the quirky mini golf courses with loops, towers, hills, and curvy turns.

Laser shooting: Get your adrenaline pumping and your pulse racing with a laser tag game with lots of cool effects and a maze of a course.

Shooting simulator: Give it a shot with a rifle or pistol and see if you can hit the target. Shoot ducks by the lake, or head out onto the savannah in search of elephants, rhinos, and lions. Alternatively, you can also shoot clay pigeons.

naturama
Try one of the more unusual animal attractions on South Funen at Naturama. Here the whole family is invited on an educational and fascinating journey through the animal kingdom on water, land and in the air.

The beautiful exhibitions of stuffed animals extend over three floors, and are complemented by changing lights, advanced sound, and beautiful films and images that stage the animals in the nature theater. In addition, Naturama's biologists and nature guides offer a wide range of tours and educational activities adapted to level and age. For example, you can experience dissections, shows, hands-on courses, and professional lectures or dissemination events using theatrical means.

Gorilla Park
Find your inner monkey and try your hand at a total of 2,7 kilometers of climbing course up to 26 meters high at Gorilla Park. The fun climbing course takes place inside the forest, and can therefore easily be done in rainy weather.

In the park you will find 8 climbing courses at a height of 1-26 meters with over 100 different obstacle elements such as 24 different zip lines, Tarzan swings, base jumps, and snowboards. If you need even more speed, you can also try BMX riding in the treetops. Climbing experience is not necessary, as there are levels of difficulty for everyone, and of course also thorough safety instructions before you are let loose.

Fisheries House
If your sailing plans have been completely ruined due to the weather, at Fiskeriets Hus you can still have the experience of being at sea and gain an insight into the life and profession of a fisherman through time.
At the museum you can test your skills as a skipper on a fishing boat SG 92 in the Baltic Sea in their authentic simulator. You can sail both day and night under challenging conditions in all kinds of weather on the lake and in an environment that simulates Bagenkop Harbor. As a skipper it is of course your responsibility to not cause damage to the boat or any of the other vessels with which you share the sea.
If you need solid ground under your feet, you can learn more about how people and technology have developed the profession into what we know it as today in the exhibition "Fishing". For example, see what an old-fashioned fisherman's home looked like and what tools you could find in the workshops that supported the profession. All remarkable effects that testify to the fishermen's extensive working conditions.

Geopark visitor center – Langeland
If you are already planning what you will do when the weather forecast shows better weather again, stop by the Geopark visitor center in Rudkøbing and get inspired for the next time you explore the Langeland nature.
The visitor center in Rudkøbing
At the visitor center you can learn about Langeland's unique geology and natural and cultural heritage over the last 10.000 years. Langeland is, for example, the only place in Denmark where you can find the so-called "hat hills", which were created during the last ice age. By climbing 8 selected of these hat hills, you can receive the special Hat Hill Conqueror! Badge at the visitor center or the Cold War Museum Langelandsfortet, and get an extraordinary souvenir to take home from your vacation.
